Bio

I am a classically-trained Political Theorist (I studied under Ellis Sandoz and Jim Stoner at LSU); however, my primary teaching responsibilities are in American Government and State Politics, with one course each semester in IR or Comparative. I have practical work experience in State Legislatures (Chief Clerk of the North Dakota House, as well as Research Associate/Manager at Stateside Associates), so my primary interests have shifted since grad school. Most of my current research activity is focused on voting patterns in North Dakota legislative elections, which utilize a multi-member, at-large districting system.

During the 2010-2011 academic year, I served as Interim Dean of Academic Affairs for all Arts and Sciences divisions on the Moorhead campus of MSCTC (4-campus regional CC in northwestern Minnesota).
